VettaLux is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance Status

VettaLux strives to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone.

We are committed to achieving and maintaining compliance with all applicable federal, state, and international accessibility laws and standards, including:

  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
  • Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act
  • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA
  • European Accessibility Act (EAA)

Accessibility Features

Keyboard Navigation

All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard. Tab through links, buttons, and form fields.

Screen Reader Support

Responsive Design

Content adapts to all screen sizes and supports zoom up to 200% without loss of functionality.

Touch Targets

Minimum 44x44px touch targets with 8px spacing for motor accessibility.

Visual Indicators

Focus rings, status colors, and text alternatives — never color-only communication.

Reduced Motion

Respects prefers-reduced-motion system setting. All animations can be disabled.

Technical Specifications

VettaLux relies on the following technologies for accessibility:

  • HTML5 with semantic elements (nav, main, header, footer, article, section)
  • WAI-ARIA roles and properties for dynamic content
  • CSS media queries including prefers-reduced-motion and prefers-color-scheme
  • SVG icons with aria-label attributes
  • Form inputs with associated labels and error descriptions

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may have limitations:

  • Some third-party content (maps, payment forms) may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA
  • PDF documents uploaded by providers may not be fully accessible
  • Some older user-generated content may lack alt text for images

We are actively working to resolve these issues and improve accessibility across all areas of the platform.
